Ewe-Retu Community Project is situated in the northeastern central part of Namibia in the Kalahari- Omaheke Region in Epukiro Constituency in a village called Ovinjuru.
Ewe-Retu Community Project is situated in the northeastern central part of Namibia in the Kalahari- Omaheke Region in Epukiro Constituency in a village called Ovinjuru.
Ewe-Retu Community Project aims:
1. To uplift the living standard of the people in Ovinjuru and the surrounding, through the establishment and provision of an Early Childhood Development, Pre-Primary, and Primary School, which was non-existent in the area.
2. To empower the learners to succeed in the area of education in an ever-changing world while striving to have the parents and the community actively involved in the children´s education and community development.
3. To improve the living standard of the community members through education and employment creation.
4. To transform the Ovinjuru and the surrounding community through the support from local and international development partners, into an
enlightened and skilled society that is productive and self-sustaining.
FUNCTIONS
Ewe-Retu Community Project enrolls children between the following ages:
– Crèche (Kindergarten) – 2-4
– Pre-primary – 5-6
– Lower-primary – 7-9 (part of our prospective plan)
All this aims at ultimately preparing the learners for the senior primary phase. Ewe-Retu Community Project provides adult literacy to educate parents to improve their outlook on life and to enable them to assist their children with their homework.
Ewe-Retu Community Project trains the community members in various skills, like clothing production, embroidery, souvenir production, brick making, gardening, Fitter and turning and welding…..and the list goes on and on.
